The Infinite Search Workshop
A contemplative journey through color and creativity
Through color and gradient work, reflection, and shared dialogue, The Infinite Search Workshop creates space for both artistic exploration and personal discovery. Each session invites participants to engage with art as a meditative practice, finding meaning in the process of creation.
About the Experience
This isn't a traditional art class—it's an invitation to explore creativity as a gateway to deeper understanding and connection. Whether you're an experienced artist or new to creative practice, The Infinite Search offers a unique space where art-making becomes a form of collective contemplation.
In these intimate sessions, we move beyond technique to create an environment where color becomes a language for expression and discovery. Through guided exploration and thoughtful dialogue, participants develop both artistic skills and contemplative practices they can carry into their daily lives.

Your Guide
John Robert Hatherly is a Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist, designer, facilitator, and podcast host whose practice explores the intersection of color, contemplation, and human connection. Known for creating expansive, hyper-color abstract art and immersive experiences, they approach each workshop as part of "The Infinite Search" - an ongoing exploration of art's power to transform and illuminate.
Drawing from years of experience in both creating and exhibiting meditative artworks, John facilitates workshops with the same sense of wonder and playful exploration that characterizes their artistic practice. Their approach combines technical expertise in color theory and composition with a deep appreciation for art as a spiritual practice.
The workshop format emerged organically from John's belief that mastery takes generations and that true learning happens in the space where curiosity meets community. Through Sondwerk—whose name combines the Spanish "sondar" (to seek) with the German "werk" (to work)—they create containers for both individual discovery and collective meaning-making.
John finds particular joy in creating intimate spaces where others can access their own creative potential.
