The Infinite Search

John is an American artist living and working in Chicago, known for their expansive, hyper-color abstract art and immersive, heart-centered experiences.

Through their work Hatherly examines contemporary color theory, abstract composition, and the merge of traditional art with technology, creating a meditative blend of form and hue.

Embracing the interplay of color, emotion, and the human spirit, they create transformative spaces, installations, and experiences inspiring the viewer to search for a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.

Their work is housed in private collections worldwide, including across the United States, Europe, Asia, and Central and South America.

Hatherly believes in mastery taking generations and approaches their work with a sense of naïvety and wonder—an infinite search for voice through a series of discrete, playful explorations to create forms that illuminate life.
